This is the boat of the bounty   was a merchant vessel but armed with four cannons, famous above all for the famous mutiny that occurred in 1789, an event described in numerous films and adventure books.

The Bounty was supposed to reach Tahiti in 1787, leaving from England under the command of Captain Bligh who was 45 years old but having his first command experience. More reconstructions or less truthfully, they have highlighted that it was the harsh discipline imposed by the commander (certainly not unusual in those times) that triggered the mutiny, even if there was those who maintain that a non-secondary role had the will of the sailors to return to Tahiti and the Tahitian Islands frequented during a long stop forced by weather conditions. It is no coincidence that some of the mutineers subsequently settled in those places, marrying Tahitian women.

More in general, the vessel has represented the main battleship of all navies since the 17th century, which then declined to the detriment of the largest small agile Frigate, and especially for the event of steam armored ships.
