THE ALBATROS SAILING SHIP was built in 1920 in a shipyard in Amsterdam and then used for many years in the North Sea. In 1937 it was purchased by the German government and used as a radio station for submarines in World War II.

After the war it was repurchased by the Dutch government to use it as a training ship for future officers of the merchant navy.

The Occre sailing ship Albatros is a model reproduced identically to how it really was in the past, the only difference is the size otherwise if it takes us a while of imagination it seems to have truly gone back in time. With its beautiful cotton sails hanging from the masts, the flag placed at the bow in the largest sail high and other small details that you will find as you build it.
